What would YOU pay for this nice Panther? High mileage and a rust spot, but still.
I'm considering it.
1995 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Sedan on Kijiji
Update: check engine light is on, probably for O2 sensor

I wouldnt. It looks like garbage.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:35 |

Pay? I want it for free.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:35 |
|
So zero
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:36 |
|
I got 5 on it
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:37 |
|
You couldn't give me that car.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:37 |
|
I'd pay close to $600 for that.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:37 |
|
Okay, well what would you offer someone for it?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:38 |
|
Why not?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:38 |
|
I think the $1000 asking price is reasonable. Then again, I'd offer $800.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:40 |
|
I wouldn't pay over a grand or so.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:40 |
|
I'd offer $600. Maybe meet in the middle at 800.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:41 |
|
1200-1500 that seems to be fair from what I found around me.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:42 |
|
It would take too much work to make a race car. It's also out dated by better panther platform cars. Like the Marauder.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:42 |
|
I wouldn't pay over $800 for that thing. What ever happened to that nice beige CV you were thinking about?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:44 |
|
I would pay 100 at the most and thats pushing it.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:45 |
|
1k is reasonable. I'd start at 800 and see where that went. Likely you show up with a sack of Loonies and you'll be able to drive it home.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:46 |
|
Why?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:46 |
|
I'd give ya tree-fitty.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:46 |
|
It got snapped up in a jiffy :(
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:47 |
|
Marauders are (relatively) expensive. I'm look for something cheap
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:48 |
|
Totes
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:49 |

$500 and LeMons it. Chances are the trans is junk, and the valve seals are dumping oil into the cylinders.
$1000 (around here) can buy a much nicer, newer Panther.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:50 |
|
Then go for an old P71 Interceptor.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:50 |
|
No LeMons in Canada :(
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:51 |
|
I'd probably offer $500 to start and wouldn't go home with it unless I could get it for $750 or under. It seems to be a pretty big risk with that high of miles and all. The engine could grenade at any minute. That being said, I've seen much worse cars sell for more money than he's asking.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:51 |

I'm considering those, but they've lived hard lives and the interior is barren
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:52 |
|
So? They may have lived hard lives but they will be more durable in the long run.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:53 |

YET
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:54 |

Text loaded before the picture, so I indadvertedly thought it was one of these...
![]() 02/12/2015 at 11:56 |
|
$750 as-is. $800 with a full tank of gas.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:02 |
|
Well what is your plan for it? with 277k there isn't much time left on the clock, does it still run and drive or would it just be taking up room at your house?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:03 |
|
thats only 172k miles though...
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:05 |
|
they are 1200 to 1500 around here.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:05 |
|
It would be a first car, so my DD
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:05 |
|
OOO I didn't see the KM I was thinking miles, well than I would pay like $600
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:07 |
|
haha I did the same thing.. hence why i know the rough amount in miles.. had to convert. haha
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:09 |
|
Ya I thought it had 277k miles not kilometers which completely changes my mind. If its your first car than buy it, because sooner or later you will probably wreck the thing and its a big safe car. Also the rear wheel drive would be fun to pick up chicks with.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 12:22 |
|
I'd be worried about what the underside looks like. Put it up on a lift
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:11 |

Update: check engine light is on, probably for O2 sensor
These things are known to shit converters, and they ain't cheap.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:13 |
|
Damn :/
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:13 |
|
So what's the suggested course of action, captain?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:14 |
|
I know..,,
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:14 |
|
Pass on it. IF you need to pass emissions. If not just hope it doesn't burn oil, slip gears, and enjoy yo couch.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:19 |
|
Nah just do a PI headswap and T45 swap and it would be find.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:19 |
|
Well, if you have the money/time, wait for another one like that. And when you find the right car, then pull the trigger. A lot of my friends got terrible cars because they rushed to get one.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:23 |
|
I'm not in need of a car so I'm trying not to rush, but I want one SO BAD
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:27 |
|
Trust me man, I know the feels. I looked for a little over 1.5 years until I found my 'Vette. When you find the right car, you will be SO much happier with it. And that's guaranteed.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:28 |
|
I'd pay $800 for that kind of Panther.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:29 |
|
I'll try to wait then
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:30 |
|
UPDATE: I'm down to $327.43
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:34 |
|
Good call. Just be sure to keep looking. The search is almost as fun! And, if something comes up that looks great, make sure to act quickly. I'm sure you already know this, but I've had a few cars slip out of my fingers, and so have plenty of people I know.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 13:34 |
|
That's a precise number....
![]() 02/12/2015 at 15:03 |
|
It would take too much work to make a race car.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:19 |
|
$500-$700 USD probably.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 06:09 |

LOW kilometres.
